PuliCon 2020 and Free Comic Book Day coincide to bring you a day of  cosplay fun!  Wear your favorite gear, have your picture taken by a professional photographer, snag a few popular comics, visit our talented artists and meet like-minded folks for games and crafts.  All events are completely free and open to all ages.

Vendor Opportunities

Vendor applications to PuliCon are now closed.  Applications are still being accepted for program proposals. As of 3/24/2020, PuliCon has not been cancelled. Please check back for updates after April 6, 2020 when the two-week state-wide closure period is over. Thank you for your continued interest!   

The PuliCon Planning Committee will do the initial review of vendor applications on February 4, 2020.Vendors will receive notification of approval or denial within five business days of this review. Applications received after February 4, 2020 will receive notification of approval or denial within ten business days of receipt of your application.

The deadline to apply for PuliCon’s Artist Alley is March 17, 2020. However, the Puyallup Public Library reserves the right to close applications at an earlier date should all available spaces become full. If you wish to apply for vendor space, please review and complete the application and be sure to read the guidelines to become familiar with the set-up options for the event.  You must also read and sign the license agreement. There are no fees to participate in PuliCon.  Artist booths are assigned on a  first come, first served basis, so apply early!  Both documents should be sent to:

Call for Program Proposals

Do you have a passion for geek culture? Do you know how to make the best armor, illustrate comics, or have another great trade? The Puyallup Public Library is looking for creative people who want to share their talents and host a program at Pulicon 2020!  
Programs can include panel discussions, how-to workshops, lectures, or crafts. Please fill out the application below and return it to the PuliCon Planning Committee (contact info listed above).  

Applications are due by Saturday, March 14th, 2020.  You will receive an email confirmation when your application is received.  All applications will be evaluated by library staff to determine if programs are in the spirit of Pulicon and will appeal to most who are attending the event.  Applicants will be notified of approval or denial of their application within 10 days of the due date.  Due to limited accommodations for programs, we will not be able to accept all applications. The library reserves the right to close the application process early should all available space for programs becomes full.

The vendors listed below participated in PuliCon 2019.   In late February 2020, we will update this list to reflect the new line-up of vendors.  We hope to see you return for 2020!

Amy J. Cockerham
I feature art prints and illustrated tote bags.

Art by Danie
Pacific NW-based artist inspired by all things nature & fantasy. Animals, creatures and creepies with dark fantasy twists offered as art prints, stickers, small accessories, & stationary.

We sell science fiction and fantasy books from local award-winning author Raven Oak, and handmade, geeky chainmaille jewelry which is often inspired by Raven's works or other fandoms.

Chris Buckley
Chris creates stickers, magnets and gaming graphics.

Clockwork Dragon
Curious fantasy and science fiction books for eclectic minds.

DefCon One Publishing
Mad Scientist Journal, themed anthologies, and superhero novels and short story collections.

GivLm
I create digital illustrations with a sunset feel in the form of prints, stickers, buttons, and acrylic charms, ranging from original pieces of fan art of Fire Emblem, Fruits Basket, Mob Psycho 100, Legend of Zelda, and more. I also take sketch commissions!

Seattle author and illustrator best known for her demon-poodle based comedy, Out for Souls & Cookies.  She has illustrated several graphic novels and writes vampire cozy mysteries and fantasy books.

Heat/Cold therapy bags made with a variety of fabrics, such as Avengers, Star Wars, Doctor Who, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  I also make hand embroidered wall hangings.

Maila Cervania is a hobbyist whose style is influenced by Alphonse Mucha and Japanese animation.  She is currently in the early stages of writing her comic book Divine Disgrace and hopes to release the first chapter sometime this year.

KJH Art
Horror-inspired surrealist illustrations, comic books, and small merchandise.

Digital artist creating independent comics, original and fan inspired art illustrations and cute stickers! My favorite themes are love, fun, and friendship!

Morbid Heart Designs
Morbid Heart Designs makes geeky and cutesy horror-themed art on prints, stickers, and hand-painted magnets.

Pau and Loma
We are two sisters that make and sell cute art inspired from anime, video games, and pop culture. We sell art prints, key chains, buttons, pins, stickers, as well as hand-knitted bags and commissions.

I sell vinyl decals, stickers, greeting cards, ornaments, fan art prints, enamel pins and custom tumblers.  Most of my art is nerdy themed.

Riley's Rainbow Slime
Fluffy slime in a variety of colors, scents, and textures.

Happy art for kids at heart!  Whimsical and vibrantly colored images to bring a little joy into your life.

I write epic fantasy for tweens and up that tackle real-life feelings and issues.

A collection of fantasy and pop culture art from around the world, pins, bags, and gaming playmats.

Tea in Space
Comics, prints, and small accessories featuring space, aliens, and cute/weird animals.

I create fan art and original acrylic paintings cherished by all ages.

Threnodi's Threads
We sell plush dolls, homemade chocolate bark, and also do face painting.

T.M. Franklin
T.M. Franklin writes stories of adventure, romance, and a little magic. Her books are about ordinary people with extraordinary abilities who must protect those around them. She also writes sweet romance under the pen name Tami Franklin.

Uta's Art
Dena Neal creates anime-inspired work to accent your home.

Violet Phoenix Designs
Handmade clothes and costumes for fans and geeks, using high quality fabrics that last!

Game board serving tray sets including tray, coasters, and wine charms created from up-cycled and re-purposed games, frames, and hardware.  Sets feature Harry Potter, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Marvel, and many others.
